Beste vrienden en muziekliefhebbers,

Na vier mooie jaren van noestige arbeid en vele muzikale hoogtepunten heeft Chopstick Records besloten om de organisatie van het Jazz sur l'herbe festival in en rond de kiosk van het Gentse Citadelpark niet verder te zetten.
De reden hiervoor is een artistieke heroriëntatie, en tevens het gebrek aan materiële middelen en tijd om een organisatie van deze omvang verder te kunnen blijven doen als kleine vzw, vooral gezien het feit dat het festival duidelijk blijk geeft van een gestage groei.
Chopstick Records zal zich opnieuw geheel toeleggen op de artistieke productie en promotie van zijn eigen muziekprojecten, wat niet uitsluit dat het in de toekomst opnieuw concerten zal organiseren, al dan niet onder de noemer Jazz sur l'herbe.
Graag wens ik alle mensen en partners te bedanken die gedurende vier jaar dit project mee mogelijk hebben gemaakt, het waren steeds opnieuw unieke edities met een geheel eigen sfeer en karakter, en hopelijk blijft Jazz sur l'herbe verder leven in de herinnering van de duizenden bezoekers die rond de kiosk in het Gentse Citadelpark kwamen genieten van de muziek.

Na lang (t+)wijfelen, vooral door de kennis dat Mathias & Chopstick er niet meer bij zijn als organisator, gaat Q'onda vzw en el NEGOCITO Records toch verder... maar dan onder een andere noemer. Geen vijfde Jazz sur l'Herbe maar een eerste Citadelic festival - Citadelic12. Voor meer gegevens kan u surfen naar citadelic.be . Hopelijk kunnen we de schoenen van dit eigenzinnig maar familiaal festival zoals weleer een beetje vullen.

Dear friends and music lovers,
After four beautiful years of hard working and many great musical highlights and encounters, Chopstick Records has decided to stop organising the Jazz sur l'herbe festival in Ghent, Belgium.
The main reason is the overload of organisational duties and the lack of means to cope with that.
In this perspective Chopstick wishes to focus back on it's own creative and productional work, and to promote the many artistic projects it represents rather than to invest most of it's energy in the realisation of a festival of this size.
I would like to thank all the people and organisations that have supported us during these four years, and I hope people will remember the beautiful and positive moments that we've all created together.
Chopstick Records does not exclude to program concerts again in the future, wether that will still be under the name of Jazz sur l'herbe is the question...

After rather much doubt, especially with the knowledge that Mathias & Chopstick will not be there anymore as organizer, Q'onda vzw and el NEGOCITO Records still would like to take the festival further ... but under a different name. No fifth Jazz sur l'Herbe but a first Citadelic festival - Citadelic12. For more information you can surf to citadelic.be. Hopefully we can fill the spot of that indie but homily festival it used to be.
